Working in clay has been a natural progression for me - from early paintings which focused on texture and led to carving in wood.  Now I echo this in clay. Clay satisfies my need to create both functional and sculptural art - while carving and altering clay add the texture - then the glazing and firing bring that special element of surpise!  Each uniquely glazed pot inspires the next.

Whether it is funtional or sculpture, claywork satisfies the artist in me and also pleases my practical side. The pottery I make speaks through my hands, each piece holding my own fingerprints.  I hope you enjoy holding and using my pots as much as I enjoy crafting them.

My work is available at the galleries listed on the Galleries page.
